Chadwick, Washington provides services based primarily on an hourly billing arrangement with varying rates for shareholder attorneys, senior associates, junior associates and paralegals. While the firm may be engaged on a matter-by-matter hourly basis, the firm also offers community association legal services on an annual retainer basis, which is a service plan designed to meet the needs of most community associations.
Under the retainer arrangement, an association may engage the firm by paying an annual retainer fee which depends on the size of the association. Services covered by the retainer fee include: all telephone contact between the association's board and management and Chadwick, Washington's attorneys, paralegals and staff; and an initial meeting with the Board to present a legal review of governing documents. Retainer clients also benefit from reduced hourly rates and reduced flat fees for assessment collection services.
Under the retainer plan, clients (or their managers) can call their lawyers without the worry of the "meter-running." In our experience, this arrangement can help our clients minimize or avoid legal problems by getting preventive legal advice before a problem becomes serious.
