Seminars on Community Association Law and Governance

Virginia – D.C. law firm providing education and training, including Virginia manager CICB credits

The Firm’s legal seminars in Virginia and D.C. are complimentary for all clients and guests of the Firm.  These presentations are held throughout the year and include updates on legislation and caselaw, as well as other ongoing topics such as covenants enforcement, collections and community association practices.  The Firm is certified by the Virginia Common Interest Community Board to teach 4 hours of community manager license renewal training.  The training is open to community managers and covers Common Interest Community Law (2 hrs) and Fair Housing (2 hrs). We schedule CICB sessions throughout the year.  If a management company is interested in scheduling a session for its managers, contact Diane Deckant,   The next CICB Training sessions will be scheduled in 2017.

Legal Seminar Series

The 2017 Seminar Series has been scheduled.  As with each year, each session will include a Legislative Update and four or five other topics.  This Seminar will be approved by the Community Association Managers International Certification Board ( to fulfill continuing education requirements for the CMCA® certification.  The schedule for 2017 is listed below.

Please note that due to demand, we are having two seminars in the Fairfax location, so clients can pick which session they prefer to attend.  This page will be updated soon to indicate what topics will be taught at selected seminars.

Seminars begin a half-hour after registration.

Registration information:   After registering, you will receive a confirmation email. In addition, in the week prior to the seminar, you will receive an email containing a link where you can download the seminar materials and print them.  You are welcome to bring your iPads or laptops to take notes.  We will provide a complimentary copy of our annual CWMEB Statute Book at all seminars.
