Virginia EO72 (7th Amendment) in effect May 15

As vaccinations become more prevalent among Virginians, the Governor again amended his standing orders regarding the COVID19 pandemic, this time through the 7th Amendment to Executive Order 72.  The full text of EO72 (as amended) can be found here and takes effect May 15, 2021.  

The main change in EO72's 7th Amendment was increasing the outdoor gathering limit from 100 to 250, while the indoor limit increases from 50 to 100.  The Order has the same social distancing standard (6 feet) in the prior Order for persons not of the same household.

Most of the other changes to the Order would not affect most community association facility operations.  Bear in mind that occupancy limits for fitness facilities and pools remain at 75%, with those facilities still subject to screening and signage requirements and physical distancing.

In light of new CDC guidance (issued on May 13, 2021) lifting certain mask restrictions for vaccinated persons, the Governor's office lifted the statewide mask mandate effective immediately. Click here for details.
