Seminars on Community Association Law and Governance

Educational Sessions.  In an effort to share the latest and most timely information regarding developments in community association law, the Firm holds its Legal Seminar Series at various locations in Virginia and D.C. throughout the year.  Seminars generally include updates on legislation and case law, as well as other ongoing topics such as covenants enforcement, fair housing, association governance, collections and community association practices.

Virginia CICB Training – Webinar Session set for September 23, 2020  

The Firm is certified by the Virginia Common Interest Community Board to teach 4 hours of community manager license renewal training, which is open to Virginia managers and covers Common Interest Community Law (2 hrs) and Fair Housing (2 hrs).  We schedule CICB sessions throughout the year.  If a management company is interested in scheduling a session for its managers, contact Michele Green,

The next CICB class for Virginia managers is a virtual session set for September 23, 2020.  The first session is Common Interest Community Law (10 a.m.), followed by Fair Housing (12 noon).  Please email Michele Green at [email protected] if you are interested in attending this Webinar. 

2020 Legal Seminar Series – Spring Sessions Postponed due to COVID19

While the firm had scheduled our Spring Seminar Series, those sessions will be postponed until Fall 2020 due to the COVID19 pandemic.  Watch this space for the rescheduling of those sessions.

In the meantime, the firm will schedule a series of Spring Webinars to review Virginia legislative changes, as well as COVID19 and other timely topics.

The dates and locations for the 2020 Seminars are listed below.  Seminars are free to all clients and guests of the Firm and include a Legislative Update, plus four or five other topics.  The sessions will be approved by the Community Association Managers International Certification Board ( to fulfill continuing education requirements for the CMCA® certification.
