Sara Ross has been elected to the Washington Metropolitan Chapter of the Community Association Institute (WMCCAI) Board of Directors to serve a three-year term.
On February 23, 2019, Sara Ross and Jerry Wright will be presenting "Hookers, Hoarders, and Drunks: Practical Methods for Dealing with Extraordinary Situations" at the Washington Metropolitan Chapter of the Community Association Institute (WMCCAI) Conference and Expo. WMCCAI's Conference & Expo is the largest gathering of community association professionals in the D.C. Metro Area and is the largest event across CAI chapters worldwide. 2019 Conference & Expo will be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center with education sessions and exhibitors.
For the second year in a row Steve Moriarty was named the Educator of the Year for the Southwest Virginia Chapter of CAI.
Brendan Bunn has been elected to serve a two-year term on the Board of Governors of the College of Community Association Lawyers (“CCAL”). CCAL was established in 1993 by the Community Associations Institute, with membership consisting of attorneys who have distinguished themselves through substantial contributions to the evolution and practice of community association law. There are fewer than 150 CCAL members nationwide. Brendan begins his term in 2019.
Allen Warren, Wil Washington and Brendan Bunn have each been selected to speak at the 2019 Community Association Law Seminar, to be held in New Orleans from January 23-26, 2019. Allen will serve as a panelist on the “Panel of Pundits,” while Wil will teach a session on attorney ethical obligations. Brendan will co-present a seminar on developer transition issues for homeowners associations.
