Ken Chadwick, Andrew Elmore, Michael Sottolano and Lesley Rigney will be speaking on May 21, 2019 in Glen Allen, Virginia at an upcoming Central Virginia Chapter CAI lunch and learn event on the topic of covenant enforcement. They will be presenting their “How To” guide for enforcement as well as providing tips on how to run a successful covenant violation hearing. Jerry Wright recently co-presented the 2019 Virginia Legislative Update at the CAI Central Virginia Chapter’s Annual Expo and Trade Show in downtown Richmond. Andrew Elmore also presented at the Trade Show, teaching a seminar about crisis management in community associations.
Bruce Easmunt recently presented two sessions at the 2019 Washington Metro Chapter of CAI’s Conference and Expo. Bruce presented on Effective Methods for Obtaining Association Loans and How to Make Your Community a Great Neighborhood.
Sara Ross has been elected to the Washington Metropolitan Chapter of the Community Association Institute (WMCCAI) Board of Directors to serve a three-year term.
On February 23, 2019, Sara Ross and Jerry Wright presented "Hookers, Hoarders, and Drunks: Practical Methods for Dealing with Extraordinary Situations" at the Washington Metropolitan Chapter of the Community Association Institute (WMCCAI) Conference and Expo. WMCCAI's Conference & Expo is the largest gathering of community association professionals in the D.C. Metro Area and is the largest event across CAI chapters worldwide. 2019 Conference & Expo was held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center with education sessions and exhibitors.
Brendan Bunn has been elected to serve a two-year term on the Board of Governors of the College of Community Association Lawyers (“CCAL”). CCAL was established in 1993 by the Community Associations Institute, with membership consisting of attorneys who have distinguished themselves through substantial contributions to the evolution and practice of community association law. There are fewer than 150 CCAL members nationwide. Brendan begins his term in 2019.
