Michael A. Sottolano is a senior associate in the firm’s Richmond (Glen Allen) office and joined the firm in 2011. He represents community associations and provides legal assistance to clients regarding all aspects of common interest community association law, including advising board of directors in their day-to-day operations, reviewing contracts, drafting governing documents and amendments, as well as enforcement of covenant violations, addressing fair housing complaints, collection of unpaid assessments, and construction defect litigation and dispute resolution.

Michael is the immediate past president of the Central Virginia Chapter of the Community Associations Institute (“CVC-CAI”) and was recently re-elected to serve another three year term on the Board of Directors for CVC-CAI. He is also a frequent presenter at CAI events, including the 2016 CAI National Annual Conference & Expo, 2016 Virginia Leadership Retreat, 2016 CAI-SWVA Community Associations Day Trade Show & Expo,  2016, 2014 and 2012 CVC-CAI Community Associations Day Trade Shows & Expos and the 2014 CVC-CAI ‘INFO’-mercial event.
